For many patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment, a port is installed by a surgeon in order for a patient to be able to receive routine treatment and avoid the pain caused by being stuck with needles for the duration of treatment. The placement of a port typically makes wearing a seatbelt extremely uncomfortable, and port-pillows sewn with velcro are the solution! They are easy to make and step by step instructions can be found on the website listed on the attached poster. Please spread the word and help us achieve our goal of collecting 1,000 or more port-pillows for local patients!
